By less, I mean a LOT less than you would if you were using sugar. This makes for one fine cup of tea- with no calories. Customer Rating: Summary: A Big Disappointment Comment: I've heard so many wonderful things about Stevia, that when I first tasted this product, I was surprised and dismayed. I tasted just like, no, worse than, saccharin. It was bitter and the after-taste lingered for more than 24 hours. I was unable to return it because I had opened it. After some research, I found out that only the LIQUID Stevia is pure and tastes like sugar. Please don't order this stuff. It tastes beyond bad. Customer Rating: Summary: Finally a sweetener that's natural, works and maybe isn't going to kill me. Comment: I drink about a gallon of water a day but also maybe 4 liters a day of coke zero/diet coke and have for a decade. Many years ago I switched to diet cokes to cut out all that sugar, but for years constantly heard about the deadly dangers of aspertame or diet cokes are hard on your kidneys and will give you back pain. So a year or so ago I set out to find something better more like water, noncarbonated,etc. I eat clean and am into personal bodybuilding a bit. I ended up just doing kool aid type packs in a 2 liter & sweetening it with artificial sweeteners from the grocery store & other sources like online but these are said to be as bad as the aspertame and are rather expensive. Eventually I tried this product. Spoonable Stevia by Stevita co & it works great for me. I put 2 tsp in a 2 liter with a pack of a kool aid type flavor pouch and add water. This 16 oz should give me about 75 2 liters for roughly $23 including s&h. After buying the kool aid I'm out less than half what I was paying for 2 liter coke zero's and no carbonation or the dreaded artificial sweeteners. I'm sure I'll find out on the news tonight that stevia is the next deadly poison but if so, poison never tasted so sweet. You can smell/taste the sweetness in the air just opening the package. 100% Natural Good Stuff! You might need to use more to fit your tastes. It doesn't say what size beverage a serving is supposed to sweeten and I'm just looking for something other than water to drink all day. It takes 40 seconds or so to break down into the beverage. So give it a minute when you add and stir or shake till the white powder is no longer visible and floating. Customer Rating: Summary: Need some getting used to Comment: Hi, I've bought this item trying to eliminate sugar from my diet and opt for something healthier. So far I've only used it to sweeten my tea but I notice I prefer a little bit of honey instead of Stevia. I'm going to keep trying it though on other things and see how it goes. I haven't read experiences of people making the switch from sugar to stevia, but I guess what I'm experiencing is normal until I get used to it. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.
