Risks Of Colloidal SilverColloidal silver intake is not only unnecessary, it may even be harmful. The silver can build-up in the body and create a condition called Argyria, producing a bluish-gray tint on skin, nails, gums, as well as internal organs and tissues. Argyria is permanent and irreversible. Silver build-up in the body has also been associated with neurological problems (including seizures), headaches, fatigue, skin irritation and even kidney damage. The FDA issued a ruling in 1999 that no products containing colloidal silver are generally recognized as safe and effective. However, these products are still sold and marketed as dietary supplements.
