Gogi juice is made of bright red berries originating from the Himalaya region. The Tibetan inhabitants call these berries "gogi" and have been using them for centuries. They believe the berries carry such a multitude of nutritional and medical benefits that they even celebrate this gift of the gods in a special yearly gogi festival.
The gogi berry has been introduced into the US and is grown in most US states where it is also known as the matrimony vine.
The gogi berry, or in its proper scientific name lycium barbarum, does indeed contain exceptionally high levels of beneficial vitamins and minerals. Gogi juice contains high levels of vitamin C and B complex vitamins, making it a powerful anti-oxidant and a valuable addition to any anti-aging oriented diet.
There are no known side-effects to Gogi juice consumption, but you would do wisely to check the source of the juice and opt for pesticide free Gogi juice.
